Patch Notes – April 2026

We’re now a Certified Fansite – which means that you can definitely mention (but not link!) us on neopets.com without any issues. (You already could do that before because our main site – Magnetismo Times – is also a Certified Fansite!)

New Features

• Pricing algorithm updates — last month we mentioned how our algorithm was weak (i.e., too slow) at pricing very cheap items. Following through on that, we made several changes to make it faster when pricing low-value items
  • We also improved price rounding. No more weird numbers!
• The Void Within — we added our usual event card to the homepage and also improved the organization of our plot hub
• Our article pages now support cool features like those alerts on the Userscripts page

Quality of Life Improvements

• Avatars are now sorted by release date on the items page
• We made various improvements and fixed several bugs on the Gallery Sorter Script
• We kept a close eye on things and banned dozens of users who violated our terms and API rules. We’re watching.

Developers

• We completely removed Google Firebase from our codebase. Now its easier than ever to contribute to our Open Source
• We added a button to request an API limit increase when using API keys
• Last month we also talked about exploring automatic updates for our public data dump — and now it’s available!
• We updated our API docs and added information on how much each API call “costs.” Now, instead of counting only returned items, we consider returned “data points” towards your limit

Bug Fixes

• We fixed a bug in the search filters related to petpets
• We performed a major cleanup of our database (we deleted nearly 20 million rows!)
