Patch Notes – 11/11/2024

New Features

• We created the Item Effects page, showing all items that have an effect on your Neopet.
• We added Cooking Pot Recipes information to item’s pages.
• We created a page to collect data from prize pools.

Restocking

• We updated the restock guide to display items without a price.
• The Restock Dashboard now supports the Almost Abandoned Attic and the Igloo Garage Sale.

Nc Mall

• We created a Leaving NC Mall page to display all items that will be leaving the Mall in the near future

Quality of Life Improvements

• We made changes to prevent old items from showing up in the “Latest Discoveries” section on the homepage.
• We added a “Help Needed” card when we have enough data waiting to be priced for an item’s price to be updated.
• We changed the URL for lists to remove those weird numbers and make the link more user-friendly.
• We added more item badges in the Quick Search results from the search bar.
• We enhanced the “Last Seen” area with modals containing detailed information and a 90-day history of when we last saw that item.
• We updated our layout and added a permanent alert bar.
• We made a huge change to auto-price a larger number of trades without vote review

Infrastructure

• We performed a major server upgrade! Now the web part and the mysql database can stop fighting, as each has its own dedicated VM. Yay!
• As a result, we now use green-blue deployment—this means the site is no longer down for several minutes during code updates.
• We upgraded the codebase to React 19—yay!

Bug Fixes

• We fixed several bugs when viewing/editing a list on a mobile device
• Fixed a bug on the Item Data Extractor when sending data from the Auction Genie
• Fixed a bug on the Pet Color Tool that showed Orange Paint Brush as a way to make Orange Chias
• Removed the “No Trade” badge on pb’s item card
• Fixed a (spooooky) bug that broke the Restock Guide on Halloween
• Made some improvements to our pricing algorithm on some edge cases
• Fixed a bug that showed price on items that were turned “No Trade” by TNT
• Fixed a bug where our logo was not showing up on the Restock Dashboard image card
