That’s where Dynamic Lists come in. With them, itemdb automatically keeps your lists — whether it’s your Stamp Album, your NP Background Gallery, or your Gourmet Food collection — always up-to-date with the latest Neopets items.

What Are Dynamic Lists?

Dynamic Lists let you save a Neopets search and transform it into a live, self-updating list. Whenever new items that match your search appear, your list updates automatically — no manual effort needed.

There are three types of Dynamic Lists, depending on how you want itemdb to manage changes:

1. Add Only

In Add Only mode, itemdb will automatically add new Neopets Items that match your search.

For example, if TNT releases a new Neopoint Background, it’ll instantly appear on your Background Wishlist.

However, if you manually remove something from your list, itemdb will add it right back. Want to hide an item without deleting it? You can do that too — perfect for keeping things organized without losing data. 😉

2. Remove Only

In Remove Only mode, itemdb adds all matching items once — and after that, it only removes items that no longer fit the criteria.

So, if TNT changes a background into a foreground, itemdb will automatically remove it from your list.

This mode is perfect for maintaining collections like a Stamp Album or Book Collection, where items rarely change once added.

3. Full Sync

Full Sync mode keeps your list 100% identical to your original query — nothing more, nothing less.

It’s the best choice when you want a precise, automatically managed list that perfectly mirrors your search results.

Checklists and Linked Lists

itemdb users don’t live on queries alone! You can also create Dynamic Lists based on other lists — technically called Linked Lists.

This lets you make checklists derived from an official list (like a full Neopets Stamp Album) or another list you’ve built yourself – or created by the community.

Just like Dynamic Lists, Linked Lists also support Add Only, Remove Only, and Full Sync modes to stay perfectly in sync.

How to Create a Dynamic List

Creating a Dynamic List on itemdb is super simple! After setting up your awesome Neopets search with all your favorite filters, just hit the big orange button on the Search Page — and boom, you’ve got a brand-new Dynamic List for your Neopets Items.

From Searches to Smart Lists

Your list will automatically stay up-to-date with every new matching item, whether it’s for your Stamp Album, Background Wishlist, or any other Neopets collection.

Create a Linked List from an Official List

You can also visit any Official List — like a full Neopets Stamp Album or Book List — and click “Create Checklist”

This instantly builds a Linked List that syncs with the original. Whenever the official list gets updated, your checklist updates too — no extra work needed. ✨
